Terms and Conditions

Registration

On completion of the registration via the internet (or by post) and the registration payment due, your details including any photograph are retained securely on our database, for the purpose of matching your family needs for an au pair. This registration fee is a one-off payment enabling you to make repeated applications for a GB au pair.

Payment

After completing your registration form a payment of £15 is required to complete the registration, and this payment may be made:

  • directly and securely online via the internet (using PayPal secure services)
  • or, directly to the following bank account:

If you have registered online, and (for whatever reason) decide not to pay using PayPal secure online services, and decide to make any payment by direct bank transfer (or by post), please also indicate the GBF reference with your payment. If you are sending details by post, please ensure that you complete all the necessary details and include a family photograph with your cheque.

Placement

The scale of placement charges depends upon the agreed period of stay:

up to 1 month £35
1 to 2 months £50
3 to 6 months £70
up to 1 year £125

A placement is made, usually after discussion and agreement by telephone, and following receipt of the student's application, letter, reference and photograph, you will be asked to confirm your acceptance in writing, stating the working requirements for your au pair and confirming the amount you will be paying him/her per week.

Following the placement, we shall email you the details and invoice you and which must be settled by return.

Cancellation

In the event of the au pair being unsuitable or having to cancel at the last minute, we shall either offer you a replacement or refund your placement fee (less £20 administration).

On Arrival

You will be expected to agree directly with the au pair regarding the date of his/her arrival in England, and to meet the au pair at the station, port or airport, or to arrange to send a car to meet him/her.

Early Termination

Should any personality clash arise during the placement period, or should you not decide to cancel the au pair, you are required to give at least one week's notice so that he/she has time to organise his/her return travel or find an alternative placement.

You can be assured that every reasonable measure has been taken to ensure the suitability and integrity of the au pair placed with you. However, Genevieve Browne Ltd do not accept liability of any kind which may result from professional negligence or dishonesty.
